Probably because it won't be. Movies are rarely similar to the books they're based on, sadly (though in this case it might be a good thing - perhaps Bella will be a character worth caring about in the movie).

Well, if they've got Kristen Stewart playing her, there's hope. But I do give them props for casting Cedric as Edward. GOOD FUCKING CAST.

Don't worry about it. I really HATED the books (character is soggy Mary Sue, story line is like a fanfic that fanfiction.net rejected, etc.) and think they are grossly overrated (especially those who say they are better written than the HP series--WTF?). The only reason I even remotely want to see the movie is because it's got one of my favourite actresses in it: Kristen Stewart. I have hope she can save the movie. Plus, it looks a bit different than the book.
